    Lorenzo Brown: Becomes free agent

Brown's 10-day contract expired Friday and he wasn't re-signed by the Suns. The Suns elected to give Brown's roster spot to D-League standout Jordan McRae, who previously set the circuit's single-game scoring record with 61 points earlier this month. Brown had been serving as the Suns' backup point guard to Archie Goodwin of late, but it looks like those duties will fall to a combination of McRae and Sonny Weems until either Brandon Knight (groin) or Ronnie Price (toe) is able to return.

Suns' Lorenzo Brown: To sign second 10-day deal

Brown will sign a second 10-day contract with the Suns on Monday, Craig Grialou of 98.7FM in Phoenix reports. Phoenix plucked Brown out of the D-League earlier int he month, and he's tallied 13 points and six assists in 34 minutes across three appearances. While the numbers are modest, the Suns have apparently been impressed with the NC State product, so he'll stick with the club for at least another week-and-a-half. Once this second 10-day contract expires, Phoenix will have to either release Brown or sign him for the remainder of the season.

Suns' Lorenzo Brown: Will sign 10-day contract

Brown will sign a 10-day contract with the Suns on Thursday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports. Brown, who has been playing with the D-League's Grand Rapids Drive this season, will assume the roster spot of Bryce Cotton, who was waived Wednesday night. Though the Suns will be without the services of Eric Bledsoe (knee) for the remainder of the season, the team has largely gotten by with using only Brandon Knight and Ronnie Price at point guard during Bledsoe's absence, so Brown might not have a shot at seeing the floor in most games.

Lorenzo Brown starts at PG for Timberwolves

Lorenzo Brown started at point guard for the Timberwolves on Saturday in a loss to Chicago. He scored eight points with two assists in 23 minutes. Brown got the start with both Ricky Rubio (quad) and Andre Miller (personal) missing the game. We wouldn't read too much into his start as he'll be third or fourth on the depth chart at point guard when the season begins.
