Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Scores team-high 18 points in 18 minutes Wednesday

Schroder had 18 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four assists, two rebounds, and one steal in 18 minutes during the Hawks' 113-90 win over the Bulls on Wednesday. Schroder has seen less than 20 minutes in each of the Hawks' six February match-ups, and this was his highest scoring total since Jan. 23 against the Suns. Rumors have been swirling in regards to the Hawks heading up to the trade deadline, but Schroder is one of the rare players who can make things happen in minimal floor time. Regardless, if for whatever reason Schroder finds himself starting at some point this season, he likely becomes a must-start option even in shallow leagues.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Received stitches following Sunday's game

Schroder suffered a laceration to his chin during Sunday's matchup with the Magic, which forced him to receive five stitches following the game, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The laceration forced him to miss a chunk of the fourth quarter, limiting him to just a total of 13 minutes for the game. He finished with six points, 1-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and an assist during that span. It's unclear whether the injury could keep him sidelined for Monday's game against the Magic, so we'll likely have to wait till after Monday morning's shootaround for another update on his status.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Scores 14 points off bench

Schroder put up 14 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three assists, three rebounds, and one steal across 16 minutes in Monday's 112-97 win over the Mavericks. The Hawks' point guards absolutely massacred the Mavericks, as starter Jeff Teague put up a season-high 32 points in addition to Schroder's excellent production off the bench. Though Schroder has cut into Teague's playing time more frequently this season compared to 2014-15, Teague seems to have at least temporarily regained more trust from coach Mike Budenholzer. Schroder has only cracked the 20-minute mark once in the last five games.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Productive easy win over Nuggets

Schroder scored 15 points (4-8 FG, 6-7 FT, 1-2 3Pt) while grabbing five board and handing out five assists in just 19 minutes during Monday's win over the Nuggets. The Hawks led throughout in what amounted to an easy victory, and Schroder was able to make an impact despite seeing fewer minutes than his season average of 21.5. The 22-year-old has been quite productive this month, averaging 11.6 points, 6.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 threes, although his playing time has remained in the low-20s, despite the ongoing struggles of starter Jeff Teague. Schroder is seemingly locked into his role with Atlanta for the time being, limiting him to a matchup play in fantasy unless a door to additional playing time is opened.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Collects 12 points off bench in Thursday loss

Schroder collected 12 points (5-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, three rebounds and a steal over 25 minutes in Thursday's 91-88 loss to the Kings. Like many of his teammates, the young point guard endured a sluggish night on offense. His five turnovers brought his total for the last two games to 11 over a combined 45 minutes on the court, and he also shot a forgettable 29.6 percent (8-for-27) over that span. On the positive side, Schroder actually outproduced starter Jeff Teague on the night, and has now posted five double-digit scoring efforts in the last eight contests.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Double-double off the bench Saturday

Schroder scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) while adding 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals in 20 minutes off the bench during Saturday's win over the Nets. He continues to be productive as a reserve, averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 assists, 4.8 boards, 1.3 threes and 1.2 steals in 21.7 minutes over six games since being benched for two contests around New Year's. Kyle Korver is in a bit of a shooting slump, potentially opening up some playing time for Schroder, but it would probably take an injury ahead of him on the depth chart for the third-year guard to see enough minutes to be useful in most fantasy formats, however.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Dishes six assists Wednesday

Schroder had six points (3-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six assists, and five rebounds in 26 minutes during the Hawks' 107-84 loss to the Hornets on Wednesday. Schroder is averaging 10.0 points (41.0 FG, 40.0 3Pt, 66.7 FT), on 9.8 shot attempts to go with seven assists to 2.8 turnovers, 4.5 rebounds, one steal, and 0.3 blocks in 23 minutes per game. He can provide counting stats, but he's also fairly inefficient, and it will likely take a trade, an injury, or a lineup shakeup for Schroder to produce at a must-start level.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Scores 14 off bench in victory Thursday

Schroder scored 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with six assists, four rebounds, and two steals over 19 minutes in a 126-98 victory over the 76ers on Thursday. After failing to see court time in a pair of games against the Rockets and Knicks, it appears that Schroder has re-claimed his role as Jeff Teague's primary backup in coach Mike Budenholzer's rotation. Schroder, who scored in the double-digits for the 18th time Thursday, will look to keep floor time over the recently recalled Tim Hardaway.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Dishes eight assists in 25 minutes

Schroder scored seven points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT) and added eight assists, and four rebounds in 25 minutes during the Hawks' 107-101 loss to the Knicks on Tuesday. Schroder received DNP (coach's decision) distinctions in the Hawks' past two contests. However, he was able to regain his spot as Jeff Teague's primary backup point guard on Tuesday, and Teague actually played only 23 minutes, sitting out down the stretch of the close game while Schroder closed the contest.

Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Gets second straight DNP

Schroder (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Sunday's 111-97 loss to the Knicks. It's the second straight game in which Schroder failed to play, as he seems to have fallen into coach Mike Budenholzer's doghouse. Shelvin Mack has jumped ahead of Schroder in the rotation the last two games, but it's unlikely to be a permanent development, as the German point guard offers more speed and a better handle than Mack. Still, until Schroder works his way back into a prominent bench role, it's probably safe to drop him in most formats.
