Hornets' Cody Zeller: Scores six points in Game 7 loss

Zeller provided six points (3-7 FG) and seven rebounds across 17 minutes in Sunday's 106-73 Game 7 loss to the Heat. Zeller looked a little gimpy in the last two games of the series due to a knee injury suffered in Game 5, but he was able to tough it out and give the Hornets some quality minutes off the bench. The former No. 4 overall pick served in a starting role for much of the season, but after being roughed up by Heat big man Hassan Whiteside for the first few games of the playoffs, coach Steve Clifford opted to go with Al Jefferson as his starting center for the rest of the series. Zeller's reduced role down the stretch doesn't seem encouraging for his prospects entering 2016-17, but he'll still be coming off the best season of his career, during which he averaged 8.7 points and 6.2 rebounds.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Leaves for locker room during Game 5

Zeller left for the locker room with an apparent injury during the second quarter of Game 5 against Miami, and is questionable to return, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. It is unclear whether or not Zeller will return to the game. In Zeller's absence, Spencer Hawes, Frank Kaminsky, and Al Jefferson may see a slight boost in playing time.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Scores eight points in Game 4 win

Zeller tallied eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 21 minutes in Monday's 89-85 Game 4 win over the Heat. Zeller has come off the bench for the last two games of the series, but the move hasn't really affected his minutes count. He'll continue to essentially split the minutes at center with Al Jefferson, who logged nine points, five boards, and three assists over 26 minutes Monday.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Moving to bench

Zeller will move to the bench for Saturday's Game 3 against the Heat. To counter the Heat's smaller starting five, Charlotte will go big in Game 3 with Al Jefferson, Frank Kaminsky and Marvin Williams comprising the starting frontcourt. Zeller and Jeremy Lin will both shift to the bench, with Kemba Walker and Courtney Lee starting in the backcourt. Zeller played only 14 minutes in Game 2 on Wednesday, finishing with eight points and five rebounds.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Plays 13 minutes in regular season finale

Zeller (chest) had three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, and one steal across 13 minutes during the Hornets' 117-103 win against the Magic on Wednesday. Zeller was dealing with a bruised sternum that forced him to miss Monday's matchup with the Celtics, but he was ultimately ruled good to go on Wednesday. Al Jefferson saw twice as many minutes off the bench. However, this was likely due to the fact that this contest was essentially meaningless for the Hornets, and Kemba Walker did not reach 20 minutes either. The Hornets take on Hassan Whiteside and the Heat in round one of the playoffs, so don't expect Zeller to put up huge offensive numbers against one of the best defensive centers in basketball.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Will play on Wednesday

Zeller (chest) will play in Wednesday's game against the Magic. Zeller missed Monday's game against the Celtics due to a bruised sternum and was originally listed as questionable for Wednesday's game. It's now been confirmed that he'll play and it doesn't appear that he'll be limited in his return, though Al Jefferson would be the likely benefactor if Zeller is restricted.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Game time call for Wednesday

Zeller (chest) will be a game time decision for Wednesday's game against the Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports. This is just an updated status from Tuesday, saying that Zeller who was thought to be questionable with a bruised sternum will be a game time decision for Wednesday's game. With the playoffs waiting for the Hornets this upcoming weekend, it is likely that Zeller will sit in order to stay healthy for the postseason. If this is the case, look for Al Jefferson and Frank Kaminsky to pick up extra minutes.

Hornets' Cody Zeller: Questionable for Wednesday against Magic

Zeller (chest) is questionable for Wednesday's match up with the Magic, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. Zeller's sternum contusion caused him to miss Monday's game, and play limited minutes on Sunday against the Wizards. If he can't play again, look for Al Jefferson and Frank Kaminsky to fill his minutes in the frontcourt on Wednesday.

    Hornets' Cody Zeller: Out Monday

Zeller (chest) will not play in Monday's game against the Celtics. Zeller's absence with a bruised sternum allows Al Jefferson to enter the starting lineup at center. The next opportunity for Zeller to return will be in the regular season finale Wednesday against Orlando.
