    The Pistons have signed shooting guard Adonis Thomas , according to the Detroit Free Press. Thomas played for Detroit's summer league team this past month and is vying for a spot on the team's opening-day roster. "I just think Adonis has put in enough work to make the team. I've spoken with (Pistons president/coach) Stan (Van Gundy) and (general manager) Jeff Bower a lot about him. They really like him," his agent Travis King said. "They really like his work ethic. He's got every opportunity to make the team. If there are five guys for two spots, I think this is Adonis' year. "He's done the D-League thing for two years. He's done all he can do there. Overseas is not an option. This is his year to make the league."
