Carlos Delfino's season in doubt with surgery looming

Rockets forward Carlos Delfino has yet to play this season, and though it's still early, he may end up missing the entirety of the season as a result of a preseason foot surgery. Delfino wrote a blog post on his personal website (translated into English from Spanish by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) that makes clear he may not be able to play this season while recovering. "I'm frustrated because I did all the recovery work but my body did not respond as expected," Delfino wrote. "I'm still optimistic." Delfino suffered an injury to his right foot in last year's playoffs that required surgery. He suffered a setback in his recovery during training camp, and a second opinion last week determined he will need to undergo another surgery to repair a fracture in his right foot that will keep him out four to six months.
