Spurs' David West: Will start again Friday

West will start again Friday versus the Mavericks, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports. West has started the majority of the games Tim Duncan has missed, and will do so again Friday. He is coming off one of his better outings of the season, posting 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 27 minutes Wednesday versus the Pelicans. He will look to stay hot against the Mavericks Friday.

Spurs' David West: Posts 14-5-5 with two blocks in Wednesday's start

West went for 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 27 minutes during the Spurs' 110-97 win against the Pelicans on Wednesday. West earned the start Wednesday against a big front-court duo of Anthony Davis and Omer Asik. It's unclear when Tim Duncan (knee) is likely to return to the lineup, though it seems at least somewhat likely he will be held out until after the All-Star break. The Spurs take on the Mavericks Friday, so it's possible West will remain in the starting lineup. Then again, it's also a possibility coach Gregg Popovich will task a little bit quicker player like Boris Diaw with covering Dirk Nowitzki to begin the contest.

Spurs' David West: Will start Wednesday

West will start in Wednesday's game against New Orleans, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports. West has seen a decent amount of time in the starting rotation while Tim Duncan (knee) has been injured, but he came off the bench in Monday's game against the Magic. Going forward, it's unclear if West will remain in the starting lineup as coach Gregg Popovich continues to try out various lineups.

Spurs' David West: Will come off the bench Monday

West west will come off of the bench Monday versus the Macic, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports. Tim Duncan has missed four of the previous five games for the Spurs, and West had started in three of those four absences. The Spurs have opted to go with Boris Diaw in the starting rotation Monday however, likely giving him an opportunity to see what he can provide. West remains the most likely candidate to fill in for Duncan when he sits, but you simply never know which route the Spurs are going to go. It is unclear how long Duncan will remain out, so West's value moving forward remains up in the air.

    Spurs' David West: Starting Saturday

West will start Saturday's game at Cleveland, Fred McLeod of the Cavaliers' official site reports. With Tim Duncan (knee) sitting out for the third straight contest -- and fourth absence in five games -- West will get another nod at power forward. In 10 previous starts this season, West has averaged 8.9 points (on 58 percent shooting), 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.0 steal in 23 minutes.

Spurs' David West: Coming of the bench in Wednesday's game

West will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. West started with Tim Duncan (knee) out Monday against the Spurs, but he will not start in Duncan's place again on Wednesday. With Kyle Anderson getting the start, West may see more time off the bench than he usually does when Duncan is the starter, but his role will likely not increase drastically.

Spurs' David West: Scores 12 points in Monday's start

West went for 12 points (6-8 FG), five rebounds, and one assist in 19 minutes during the Spurs' 120-90 loss to the Warriors on Monday. West started, but he played only 19 minutes--thanks in large part to the fact that the Spurs were blown out early. It was his third consecutive start, but he has not seen more than 24 minutes during any of those three contests. Over the course of the season, West is averaging 17 minutes per game, and the 35-year-old forward is unlikely to re-estabish himself as a viable option in fantasy.

Spurs' David West: Will start Monday

West will draw the start in Monday's matchup with the Warriors, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports. The start comes as no surprise considering Tim Duncan's absence Monday. West should see a slightly increased role than his usual workload. Boban Marjanovic should also see heavier usage. West is averaging 6.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 17 minutes per game this season.

    Spurs' David West: Starting Thursday

West is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Suns, Craig Grialou of 98.7 FM Arizona Sports reports. The Spurs are giving Tim Duncan the night off for rest, so West and LaMarcus Aldridge will hold down the power forward and center positions Thursday. West should see an increase in minutes with Duncan sidelined, although he'll still likely share the additional minutes with Boris Diaw and Matt Bonner as well.
