    Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Doubtful Monday

Nelson (wrist) is considered doubtful to play Monday versus Brooklyn, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. Nelson admitted last week that he's dealing with serious discomfort in his sprained left wrist, but the team has been hesitant to rule him out for more than one game at a time. At this point, it would seemingly make sense for Nelson to be held out until after the All-Star break, but there is still a chance he could play before Denver's break begins Thursday. Following Monday's contest, the Nuggets play in Detroit on Wednesday, followed by eight consecutive days off.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Sitting out Friday, likely longer

Nelson (wrist) will not play Friday against the Bulls and could miss additional contests, the Denver Post reports. Nelson is battling a sprained left wrist, which has kept him out of the Nuggets' previous two games. The veteran admitted that he tried to play through the issue, but the discomfort was simply too limiting. "I didn't feel like I could help the team," Nelson said. "And if I'm not helping the team, I'm hurting it. So I just felt like it was better for me to sit down." Nelson has officially been ruled out for Friday's game, and the Denver Post's report intimates that he's a "longshot at best" to play Sunday in New York or Monday in Brooklyn. Nelson will undergo an MRI on the wrist, with an update expected to come in the next few days. "I'm just waiting on some things to get resolved to see what's next, what's best for it and how we approach the next step," Nelson said. "I'm always going to be honest with Coach, the organization and the training staff. I just told them I was hurting. For whatever reason, before the game I was hurting in Indiana, so I tried to play through it. I've played through injuries before. I've dealt with pain."

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Out vs. Utah, could miss multiple games

Nelson (wrist) will not play Wednesday against Utah, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports. Nelson experienced a setback in his recovery from a wrist injury earlier in the week, and Wind's report indicates that Nelson could now miss extended time. The Nuggets are yet to offer up a timetable, but Nelson will sit out Wednesday's game, and at this point it seems unlikely that he'll be available Friday against Chicago. In Nelson's absence, rookie Emmanuel Mudiay will continue to see big minutes, with Randy Foye likely filling in as the de facto backup point guard.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Will not play Monday

Nelson (wrist) will not play Monday versus the Raptors, Raptors' sideline reporter Eric Smith reports. After playing six consecutive games, Nelson returned to action Denver's previous two contests. Unfortunately, Nelson suffered a setback in Saturday's game versus the Pacers, and was considered doubtful heading into the evening. Randy Foye should see increased action due to Nelson's absence. Nelson's next chance to return will be Wednesday versus the Jazz.

    Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Experiences setback

Nelson experienced a setback in his recovery from a left wrist sprain, and he's considered doubtful to play Monday against Toronto, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. Nelson missed six games with the initial wrist injury, but he returned Thursday against Washington and also played Saturday against the Pacers. It's unclear how the setback came about, but Nelson is on track to sit out Monday night, and he could miss additional contests with the Nuggets playing Wednesday in Utah and Friday versus Chicago. If Nelson misses time, expect rookie Emmanuel Mudiay to continue to see big minutes, with Randy Foye picking up some extra minutes off the bench.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Will play Thursday

Nelson (wrist) will play Thursday against Washington, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. After a six game absence due to a sprained left wrist, Nelson will be active for Thursday's tilt against the Wizards. That said, with that amount of down time between games, Nelson could very well be in line for limited minutes in his first game back since Jan. 15.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Expected to play

Nelson (wrist) is now expected to play Thursday night against the Wizards after initially being deemed questionable, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. As of Wednesday night, Nelson was considered doubtful to return after missing six straight games, but he was upgraded to questionable Thursday morning, and he's now considered likely to play. Assuming that's the case, Nelson will slot back in as the backup to Emmanuel Mudiay, meaning Sean Kilpatrick and Randy Foye could each see minutes reductions off the bench.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Upgraded to questionable

Nelson (wrist) has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. Nelson has been dealing with a sprained left wrist for the past two weeks, forcing him to miss the Nuggets' last six games. While he's far from a lock to return Thursday, the fact that he's now listed as questionable is a step in the right direction, and even if he's ultimately held out it would appear a return is near. In Nelson's absence, Gary Harris, Randy Foye and 10-day contract signee Sean Kilpatrick have filled in behind starter Emmanuel Mudiay.

    Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Sidelined Wednesday

Nelson (wrist) won't take the court Wednesday at Boston, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. With no distinct timetable for a return -- as evidenced by doubtful availability coming into the game -- there's no telling when Nelson will next suit up. In his continued absence, Randy Foye will take on most of the backup point guard minutes.

Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Doubtful against Celtics

Nelson (wrist) is listed as doubtful to play Wednesday against the Celtics, Jeff Morton of the Denver Stiffs reports. Nelson will likely continue to sit out for the sixth game in a row due to a sprain in his left wrist. Assuming Nelson doesn't participate, expect Emmanuel Mudiay, Randy Foye, and Sean Kilpatrick to see increased minutes. There's currently no timetable for Nelson's return, but it's likely that he won't see any minutes for the remainder of Denver's contests this week.
