Pacers' Monta Ellis: Scores 10 in defeat Wednesday

Ellis scored 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt) to go with four assists, one rebound and a steal over 37 minutes in a 117-95 loss to the Hornets on Wednesday. After scoring a combined 57 points over a two-game stretch at the end of January, Ellis has been unable to generate significant offense of late -- averaging 10.3 points with only 3.7 assists in his last six games. The 30-year-old Ellis has maintained healthy minutes in coach Frank Vogel's rotation, but may cede court time to Rodney Stuckey when he returns after the All-Star break.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Averaging 11 points over four February games

Ellis was limited to eight points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block across 33 minutes in Saturday's 112-104 win over the Pistons. Ellis has fallen back to earth since a 32-point explosion against the Nuggets on Jan. 30, as he's failed to crack the 15-point barrier in any of his last four games. He's shooting just 37.8 percent from the field while averaging 11 points, 4.3 rebounds, four assists, and 1.8 steals over 35 minutes in February, much to the chagrin of fantasy owners who were counting on his momentum from a strong January to continue through the second half of the season.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Pours in game-high 32 in Saturday's win

Ellis scored 32 points (13-28 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding nine rebounds, six assists and three steals in 41 minutes during Saturday's overtime win over the Nuggets. He missed a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, but Ellis came right back and scored the Pacers' final five points in overtime to secure the win. He closes the books on a strong January in which he averaged 17 points and six assists a game while also chipping in 3.2 boards, 1.9 steals and 1.3 threes, and the team is now 6-1 on the season when he's their leading scorer. Indiana's offense still flows through Paul George, but expect Ellis' usage to continue trending up.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Scores game-high 25 points in Thursday's win

Ellis had 25 points (7-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT) to go along with six assists, five rebounds, five steals and a block in a win against the Hawks on Thursday. Ellis had one of those nights where it seemed like nothing could go wrong. While Paul George struggled mightily, it was Ellis who came to the rescue and saved the night for the Pacers. The 25 points were one shy of matching his season-high and this was clearly one of his best performances this year. Ellis has a chance for another great performance on Saturday against the Nuggets who give up fantasy points in bunches.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Scores 16 points in Saturday loss

Ellis poured in 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt), seven assists, two rebounds and a steal over 35 minutes in Saturday's 108-97 loss to the Kings. The 30-year-old was back to his typical allotment of minutes in the mid-30s after having only played 25 on Friday night versus Golden State. Ellis continues to build on his best shooting month to date in a Pacers uniform, tallying over 50 percent from the field for the fourth time in the last five games.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Scores 18 points in Friday loss

Ellis scored 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal over 25 minutes in Friday's 122-110 loss to the Warriors. The veteran received his lowest amount of minutes since Dec. 12 versus the Pistons, but still turned in a very productive performance relative to his modest time on the court. Ellis appears to have finally settled into a comfortable groove in Indiana's system during the month of January, during which he's averaging 16.0 points, 6.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds. He's also been hot from the field lately, shooting 50 percent or better in three of his last four contests.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Scores 24 in Sunday's loss

Ellis scored 24 points (10-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-5 Ft) while adding five assists, two rebounds, a steal and a block in 32 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Nuggets. It was his first 20-plus point effort, and first game draining multiple three-pointers, since December 28 against the Hawks. Ellis' scoring remains down this season, as he's had trouble adjusting to Indiana's system, but he's now averaging a modestly better 15.3 points a game in January so it's possible he'll pick up the pace even further in the second half.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Will play Tuesday

Ellis will play Tuesday night against the Suns, Nate Taylor of the IndyStar reports. Ellis sat out of Monday's practice to rest, so it's no surprise he'll be set to play Tuesday night. The shooting guard has logged an average of 36 minutes per game in January, while also averaging 14.2 points, 8.0 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 0.6 blocks in those five contests.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Skips practice Monday

Ellis didn't participate in Monday's practice, Jason Spells of WTHR-TV reports. As of yet, the Pacers have provided no explanation for Ellis' absence, so it seems likely that he was just receiving some rest in advance of Tuesday's matchup with the Suns. Ellis has seen his playing time pick up in recent games, and has shown improved production as a result. Over his last 10 games, Ellis is averaging 16.6 points (on 45.1% shooting), 6.3 assists, 2.8 boards, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers, almost all of which match or surpass his season-long marks.

Pacers' Monta Ellis: Double-double in Sunday's loss

Ellis scored 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt) while adding a season-high 13 assists, two rebounds and a steal in 39 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets. He's now scored in double digits in 10 straight games, but Ellis has also taken on a larger distribution role for the Pacers over that stretch, averaging 16.6 points, 6.3 assists, 2.8 boards, 1.6 steals and 1.3 threes. It's been a disappointing first season in Indiana so far for Ellis, but if he can maintain that pace for the rest of the year he'll still have solid value.
