Magic's Channing Frye: Will start Wednesday

Frye will move into the starting lineup Wednesday, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports. The struggling Magic will shake things up and move Victor Oladipo to the bench, as Frye joins Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris in the frontcourt. Oladipo and Elfrid Payton have failed to be productive in tandem this season, but it's unclear whether the decision to shift Oladipo to the bench is something coach Scott Skiles will roll with long-term.

Magic's Channing Frye: Returns to bench Wednesday

Frye returned to a bench role for Wednesday's overtime win over the Timberwolves and played just seven minutes. He finished without a point (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and collected one rebound during his time on the court. Frye had started the Magic's previous two games while Victor Oladipo sat out with a concussion. With Oladipo back in action Wednesday, Frye unsurprisingly saw his role marginalized, and it's possible that if he fails to make an impact in light minutes over the next few games, he could fall out of coach Scott Skiles' rotation entirely.

Magic's Channing Frye: Scores 14 off the bench Monday

Frye came off the bench to score 14 points, hitting four three-pointers and pulling down eight rebounds over 23 minutes in Monday's 97-84 loss to the Pacers. With Nikola Vucevic and Jason Smith sidelined, Frye turned in his best game of the season. Frye is great at stretching the floor, but doesn't offer much long-term upside.
