Nets' Jarrett Jack: Targeting return for start of next season

Jack (knee) underwent reconstructive ACL surgery Wednesday morning and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2016-17 season, Andy Vasquez of The Record reports. As previously announced, Jack will miss the remainder of the season, and he'll conclude the year with averages of 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and a team-high 7.4 assists per game in 32 contests. Assuming all goes well with his recovery, Jack should be ready when the 2016-17 opens in October, though it's possible he could be limited in training camp and the preseason. With Jack on the shelf, the Nets will turn to the combination of Donald Sloan and Shane Larkin to handle the bulk of the point guard duties going forward.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Done for season with torn ACL

Jack has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and is done for the season, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN reports. Jack's knee gave out on him during Saturday's game against the Celtics and despite originally being called just a sprain, it's now being reported as a torn ACL. Jack has been ruled out for the rest of the season and will instead start on his long road to recovery. Shane Larkin is expected to be the main beneficiary in minutes at point guard, while Donald Sloan could also see some extended run moving forward. We'll have to wait and see for sure what coach Lionel Hollins plans to do moving forward following the unfortunate news regarding Jack's injury.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Will get MRI Sunday

Jack (knee) will have an MRI on Sunday, The Record's Andy Vasquez reports. He left Saturday's game with what the team is calling a right knee sprain, and yet it appeared that it could have been a bit more serious than that. Jack was seen walking around the locker room without crutches, albeit very slowly, after Saturday's game, and was in good spirits, so that is a good sign at least. Continue to monitor his situation for news of the MRI results.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Exit's Saturday's game with right knee sprain

Jack exited Saturday's tilt with Boston due to a right knee sprain, Andy Vasquez of The Record (N.J.) reports. Jack was about to take off toward the hoop on a fast break when his right leg simply gave out on him. He collapsed in pain before eventually being able to limp off the court with the help of teammates. Non-contact knee injuries are always scary, but there is no other information other than a right knee sprain as of now. Expect an update on his status when more information becomes available.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Double-double in Saturday's loss

Jack scored 15 points (7-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt) while adding 11 assists, three steals and two rebounds in 32 minutes during Saturday's loss to the Wizards. It's his sixth double-double of the season, as Jack has stayed healthy so far and as a result produced some of the best numbers of his career, including a career-high 7.3 assists per game. The Nets don't have anyone to push him for minutes, so as long as he can avoid the trainer's room, he should remain productive.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Scores 13 in loss Wednesday

Jack scored 13 points (4-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) with eight assists, five rebounds, and a steal through 45 minutes in a 119-118 loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday. After a pedestrian performance in regulation, Jack's shot came to life in overtime- hitting two clutch three's to keep Brooklyn within striking distance. After posting a combined 10 points in his last two games entering Wednesday, Jack's near double-double was a welcome sight for fantasy owners.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Sees scoring drop to four points Sunday

Jack was held to four points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds, and one steal across 30 minutes in Sunday's 100-85 loss to the Timberwolves. Jack had exceeded 35 minutes in the Nets' previous two games, but after battling foul trouble Sunday, the point guard saw his playing time decrease. With Shane Larkin (concussion) sidelined, Jack should still be in line for a high-usage role more often than not, but don't expect him to regularly deliver more than 20 points on a given night.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Scores 26 in Friday's loss

Jack scored 26 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT) while adding nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in 39 minutes during Friday's loss to the Pacers. It was his second straight game with 20 or more points and second-best scoring effort of the season, after a 28-point performance against the Warriors in mid-November. Jack had a rough start to December but seems to be on the upswing again, shooting 50 percent (24-for-48) from the floor while averaging 19.8 points, 8.5 assists, 5.3 boards, 1.5 threes and 1.5 steals over his last four games.

    Nets' Jarrett Jack: Delivers double-double

Jack managed 22 points (7-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 assists, two rebounds, and two steals in 36 minutes during the Nets' 104-98 loss versus the Heat on Wednesday. Jack has five double-doubles on the season, and if he remains with the Nets through the February trade deadline, he figures to continue providing plenty of counting stats on a Nets team lacking ball-handlers and play-makers along the perimeter.

Nets' Jarrett Jack: Leads Nets in scoring Monday

Jack scored 15 points with five rebounds and seven assists in 26 minutes against the Magic on Monday. Jack hasn't been a high-scoring point guard this season, but he has been very good with assists and rebounds on a nightly basis. A night where you can get him to chip in 15 points on top of that is a very good night to get out of Jack.
