Q: Can I play Playoff Challenge Free with my friends?
A: Yes, there’s nothing like a little fantasy football rivalry with friends and family. While you cannot create your own league, you will be able to invite your friends and create buddy groups to see how your scores fare against each other.

Q: How many times can I sign up to play?
A: You will only be able to sign up one time with your CBSSports.com User ID. You can sign up anytime up to 5 minutes before kickoff of the final round on February 2, 2014.

Q: When will I be able to select my players?
A: Once the NFL regular season concludes and all playoff teams are determined, the player pool will be released. The final regular season games are scheduled to be played on Sunday, December 29th and we expect the player pool to be available Monday, December 30th.

Q: How do the 8 roster moves work and when are they deducted when I set my lineup?
A: You can change your lineup as many times you want prior to the Wild Card round locking without impacting your 8 allotted transactions. Once the Divisional Playoff round begins, you can only make a total of 8 transactions the rest of the way. If you sign up to play after the Wild Card round, your 8 transactions will be used when setting your initial lineup.

Q: What happens if a player plays at more than one position?
A: For NFL players who play more than one position, CBSSports.com will determine their position eligibility. If a player is listed at one position but then plays another for the week (e.g. a running back plays wide receiver) his statistics at the new position will count for the user's team.

Q: How many players are on a roster and how many units do I have to use to create my lineup?
A: Every user must field a roster of eight and you will have 300 units to create a team each week. Here are the roster requirements by position:
  • Quarterback (QB): 1
  • Running Back (RB): 2
  • Wide Receiver (WR): 2
  • Tight End (TE): 1
  • Kicker (K): 1
  • Defensive Team (DT)/Special Teams: 1

Q: Will the unit amounts for the player pool change each week?
A: No, the units for each player will remain the same each week and will not fluctuate.

Q: Can I change my team name?
A: Once you submit your team name, you cannot update it for the duration of the challenge. Yours is a great team name, sounds like a winner!

Q: What players are available in the player pool?
A: CBSSports.com selects the list of players for the player pool. Once the player pool is available, you can see the full list of players by navigating to the “Units” page within the game. The players included in the player pool will be removed once they are eliminated from the playoffs, unless that player is on your current roster.

In instances where a player is injured, CBSSports.com may add players from time-to-time. This is usually done at the beginning of a period so all players have a chance to utilize the added player.
