49ers' Carlos Hyde: Suffers shoulder injury Sunday
Hyde suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's loss to the Bills, and his status going forward is uncertain, according to head coach Chip Kelly, ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports.
Hyde was forced to exit during the third quarter after injuring his shoulder, and although he made a brief return later on, the tailback ultimately was back in the 49ers' locker room before Sunday's game ended. In missing portions of the second half, Hyde finished with just 52 yards on 14 rushing attempts, and San Francisco's running game struggled in his absence. Afterward, Kelly stated he wasn't sure about Hyde's upcoming availability, which figures to make his situation particularly worthwhile to monitor in the coming days. If Hyde, who represents one of the very few bright spots in the 49ers' offense, faces any time out, Shaun Draughn and Mike Davis would stand to benefit from expanded workloads.
