Hodges was asked to step into a starting role after Michael Wilhoite (ankle) left Sunday's game against the Bears.
Hodges ended the day with six tackles (five solo) while playing 65 of the team's 78 defensive snaps. He brings a similar output to the man he is replacing, which is a modest amount of tackles and not much else. If Wilhoite is forced to sit out Sunday's tilt against the Browns, then Hodges should get the nod to start alongside NaVorro Bowman.
