49ers' Tomsula 'absolutely' wants Michael Wilhoite around

49ers linebacker Michael Wilhoite was negotiating a contract extension with the team over the offseason. 

Nothing has been signed yet, and coach Jim Tomsula isn't getting involved. 

"I won’t be sticking my nose into the business side of it," Tomsula said, per 49ers.com. "I’m going to coach football. I’m going to coach the guys that are here along with our staff.  When it comes to that, I do get both sides of it."

Despite that, Tomsula said he "absolutely" wants Wilhoite around for the long term.
