Quarterback David Fales was cut by the Bears on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Fales was activated from the team's practice squad back in September when Jay Cutler was dealing with a hamstring injury. Never considered more than an emergency insurance player, Fales will try his luck elsewhere before potentially landing on a practice squad.
