Hill had eight carries for 21 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 28 yards on his only target in Sunday's preseason game against the Jaguars.

Despite staying on for only three drives, the Cincinnati first-team offense had plenty of work for both Hill and Giovani Bernard, who had three carries for 27 yards and two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. The two running backs accounted for 14 of the 21 offensive touches while the starters were in the game, with Hill handling most early-down snaps and goal-line/short-yardage work. Hill got four carries inside the Jacksonville five-yard line on his last drive, finally converting the fourth one for a one-yard touchdown. Struggles at the goal line aside, Hill was impressive whenever he had room to run.
