Poyer (lacerated kidney) remains hospitalized and could be ruled out for the remainder of the season, Cleveland.com reports.

Poyer, the Browns' starting free safety, was taken to the hospital in the second quarter of Sunday's action and was diagnosed with a lacerated kidney. Per the source, he could be in recovery for over fourth months, depending on the grade of the laceration. While nothing is for certain at this point in time, it doesn't sound as if Poyer will be able to retake the field anytime soon.
