Carter (foot/ankle) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game at St. Louis, the Buccaneers official site reports.
Carter's doubtful designation comes as no surprise, considering he's been wearing a walking boot and had to be helped off the field in the final series versus the Saints last Sunday. Carter did not practice Wednesday, and Danny Lansanah is expected to slide into his starting middle linebacker role against the Rams.
