Ayers totaled two tackles, including one for loss, and a sack in Sunday's 31-24 victory over the Falcons.
Playing his first regular-season game in a Bucs uniform, Ayers tallied the first of three total sacks of Matt Ryan on the day, dropping him for a four-yard loss on a key third down deep in Tampa territory early in the first quarter. The sack halted Atlanta's downfield march and forced them to settle for a field goal, a defensive stop that would ultimately prove to be one of several important components of the upset victory. Ayers figures to wreak his fair share of havoc from both the outside and interior of a much-improved defensive line this season.
