Peterson (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

On Sunday, Peterson left Atlanta with an ailing left knee to go with his efforts on Julio Jones, whom he held to four catches for 35 yards. During a radio spot with SiriusXM NFL on Tuesday, head coach Bruce Arians acknowledged that Peterson may sit out Wednesday's practice, yet he expressed confidence that the cornerback will suit up this Sunday against the Redskins. A practice appearance or two would lend credibility to Arians' statement, but the veteran Peterson doesn't require those reps to be ready on a weekly basis. Only time will tell if Arians' prediction for Peterson comes to pass.
