Chargers' Travis Benjamin: Catches one pass Sunday
Benjamin snagged just one catch for eight yards in the win over the Texans on Sunday.
Perhaps more alarming to fantasy owners than Benjamin's lone catch was the fact that he saw just two targets, despite quarterback Philip Rivers throwing the ball 30 times, as fellow wide receivers Dontrelle Inman and Tyrell Williams saw an overwhelming share of the targets. Considering Benjamin was coming off a knee injury that forced him to miss Week 10, it's not a given that the 26-year-old was completely healthy following the Chargers' bye week, but the fact that he was able to practice fully all week makes his usage Sunday maddening, to say the least. For the moment, Benjamin appears to be relegated to a minor role within the passing attack, but that could easily change if Williams, who was forced to leave Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, misses any time.
