West gained 61 yards on 17 carries and scored a rushing touchdown in Saturday's 27-20 divisional round loss to the Patriots. He also secured two of four targets for 15 yards.

The 24-year-old received his highest amount of carries since Week 11 versus the Broncos, and was reasonably productive with the opportunity. West capped off a 16-play, 80-yard drive in the fourth quarter with a one-yard touchdown off an option pitch that brought Kansas City within seven, but the ensuing onside kick was recovered by Rob Gronkowski. West's all-purpose ability was a revelation for the Chiefs in the wake of Jamaal Charles' season-ending knee injury, and the second-year pro serves as excellent insurance in the event Charles is not ready for the start of the 2016 season.
