Michael was released by the Cowboys on Tuesday, ESPN's Todd Archer reports.

A 2013 second-round selection with a rare combination of size and speed, Michael didn't get much playing time during his tenure with the Seahawks, and he was eventually traded to the Cowboys in September. He was also a non-factor in Dallas, getting just 16 touches in five appearances. Michael will surely get another shot in the NFL, but there's little reason to believe that he'll earn anything more than a reserve role.
