Mathis was in the starting lineup in Sunday's loss to New Orleans and played a season-high 52 of 59 snaps on defense. He had two tackles, a sack and three quarterback hits.
It looks like Mathis may finally be back to full speed after last season's Achilles injury. He may not recapture his previous form, but it looks like he'll get more opportunities for sacks.
