Week 7 Seasonal Rankings: Standard | PPR

Each Sunday in this spot I'll list my top five plays at each position. I'll also offer cash lineups.

We also have an added bonus of projected ownership, thanks to UFCollective. I'm just highlighting a few I found interesting, but if you're interested in all of their ownership projections, you can sign up here.

The lineups I'll give below are cash lineups and ownership doesn't matter as much in cash games. Where it does matter is in building tournament lineups. Low-owned players who score well are gold in that format.

So after my top five, I'll give you my favorite player that UFCollective is projecting below five percent ownership. Let's get to it:

QB

1. Matt Ryan (FD $8,700, DK $7,200)
2. Tom Brady (FD $9,100, DK $7,900)
3. Philip Rivers (FD $7,800, DK $6,500)
4. Alex Smith (FD $7,200, DK $6,100)
5. Colin Kaepernick (FD $6,500, DK $5,300)

I think the obvious play here is to get a huge chunk of the Falcons and Chargers game. The one thing I will say in Philip Rivers' defense is that he's both cheaper than Ryan and will have significantly lower ownership. In tournaments, those are both positives.

Speaking of tournaments, that's all the bottom two names on this list are for. As bad as Smith was last week for Fantasy, he had a fantastic game. We just a need a touchdown or two. Kaepernick was impressive from a Fantasy perspective in his first game of the year and has a much better matchup in far better conditions for Week 7. It would not surprise me at all if he had the best cost/Fantasy point ratio.

FanDuel Contrarian: Colin Kaepernick (3.25 percent)
DraftKings Contrarian: Drew Brees (3.54 percent)

RB

1. Spencer Ware (FD $7,000, DK $5,800)
2. Jacquizz Rodgers (FD $5,600, DK $4,300)
3. Devonta Freeman (FD $7,500, DK $5,900)
4. DeMarco Murray (FD $8,700, DK $7,200)
5. Giovani Bernard (FD $6,300, DK $4,800)

Running back looked like a jumbled mess as late as Saturday night, but I think we have the clarity we need. Assuming Jamaal Charles is out and LeSean McCoy is on a pitch count, I would use Jacquizz Rodgers and Spencer Ware in all of my cash games. Both running backs have guaranteed volume against awful defenses and are good values.

DeMarco Murray has the highest upside of any back, and if you have a cheap WR you love, I could see mixing him in, but he won't be contrarian at all.

I also like Devonta Freeman the most of all the running backs playing in Atlanta. Freeman is a little cheaper than Murray, and should have about 1/3 the ownership.

FanDuel Contrarian: Giovani Bernard (4.23 percent)
DraftKings Contrarian: Frank Gore (1.38 percent)

WR

1. Mike Evans (FD $8,000, DK $7,800)
2. A.J. Green (FD $8,500, DK $8,600)
3. Amari Cooper (FD $7,900, DK $7,900)
4. Jeremy Maclin (FD $6,800, DK $6,700)
5. Julio Jones (FD $9,200, DK $9,200)

You're going to see a lot of lineups this week with cheap RBs and the Evans-Green-Jones stack at wide receiver. It's not hard to see why with their matchups and Antonio Brown losing Ben Roethlisberger. This makes virtually every cheap wide receiver contrarian, even someone like Michael Thomas, who has scored a touchdown in three straight games.

One name to keep in the back of your mind is Allen Robinson. He won't be low enough owned to be contrarian, but he'll be much lower than any of the three studs previously mentioned. Plugging him in over Evans or Green would be a very sharp move in the Jaguars receiver goes off.

FanDuel contrarian play: Michael Thomas (4.49 percent)
DraftKings contrarian play: Kendall Wright (3.18 percent)

TE

1. Travis Kelce (FD $6,300, DK $5,300)
2. Rob Gronkowski (FD $8,500, DK $7,200)
3. Delanie Walker (FD $6,500, DK $4,900)
4. Dennis Pitta (FD $5,300, DK $4,000)
5. Jack Doyle (FD $4,700, DK $2,500)

To be clear, I don't expect Kelce to outscore Gronk. It's just that $2,200 is a big difference, especially if you want to load up at wide receiver. Gronk is still the class of the position, but you'll need to pay down for someone like Kaepernick if you want to have elite wide receivers and an elite tight end. It's not the worst idea in the world.

FanDuel contrarian play: Dennis Pitta (1.56 percent)
DraftKings contrarian play: Martellus Bennett (2.49 percent)

DST

1. Baltimore Ravens (FD $4,800, DK $2,800)
2. New England Patriots (FD $4,400, DK $2,900)
3. Minnesota Vikings (FD $4,900, DK $3,700)
4. Cincinnati Bengals (FD $5,100, DK $3,600)
5. Oakland Raiders (FD $4,600, DK $2,400)

We're targeting backup quarterbacks this week with the Ravens and Patriots, both should be elite. They'll also both probably be over 10 percent owned. The more contrarian options are the two bad defenses going up against starting quarterbacks that I just don't think are very good. Even if Bortles and Cousins are good, they'll allow turnover possibilities. We just need these units to take advantage.

FanDuel contrarian play: Detroit Lions (1.51 percent)
DraftKings contrarian play: Oakland Raiders (2.16 percent)

Thankfully you don't have to use kickers on DraftKings -- I wish FanDuel would follow suit and #BanKickers. Until they do, I'll list one option from each price range. Don't overthink it.
