Eagles' Darren Sproles: Logs 44 percent of offensive snaps Sunday

Sproles logged 23 of the Eagles' 52 offensive snaps during Sunday's defeat at Washington.

Rushing four times for 20 yards and hauling in a season-low one catch (on his only target) for four yards, Sproles was behind starting running back Ryan Mathews in touches (nine) but led the backfield in snaps (11 for Mathews and 10 for Wendell Smallwood). Even deep reserve Kenjon Barner handled eight snaps, so a timeshare continues to reign among Eagles running backs. If the preceding remains the status quo, Sproles may be a PPR option, at best, moving forward.
