Alonso has been included in the trade talks between the Eagles and Dolphins centered around cornerback Byron Maxwell, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Alonso, like Maxwell, arrived in Philadelphia last season, only to mightily underwhelm with the Eagles, registering just 43 tackles (30 solo) and one interception in 11 games played. After a sensational rookie campaign that was followed by an unfortunate torn ACL suffered before the 2014 season, Alonso remains on his initial NFL contract, so acquiring him is a relatively low-risk move for Miami financially, but the respective lackluster seasons both he and Maxwell just turned in make the Dolphins' trade interest rather questionable.
