Eagles' Wendell Smallwood: Suffers knee injury Sunday

Smallwood has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Redskins due to a right knee injury.

Initially considered questionable to return in the second quarter, Smallwood was ruled out just after halftime with three carries for three yards to his credit. Because Kenjon Barner was deemed inactive, the Eagles' backfield has been whittled down to the veteran combo of Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles.
