Falcons' Terron Ward: Suffers ankle injury

Ward was seen in a walking boot at Wednesday's practice after an apparent ankle injury, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Ward was originally dealing with a hand injury suffered during Monday's practice, but recent news indicates he also suffered a left ankle injury at some point. The Falcons signed running back Cyrus Gray on Wednesday to provide depth in the backfield during training camp, as it remains unclear how much time Ward will be forced to miss. Nonetheless, Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman continue to lead the running back corps in Atlanta heading into the regular season.
