Full Disclosure: At least CJ2K came through!

You have to take risks when making Fantasy Football predictions and recommendations. You have to follow trends and look at matchups and gauge when a player is in a slump or just had an off week.

If not, then most lineups would be stagnant following Draft Day, and you would never have the guts to bench guys like LeGarrette Blount , Reggie Wayne or DeSean Jackson for players like DeMarco Murray , Antonio Brown or Victor Cruz . And your Fantasy team would be terrible.

So this past week, when looking at matchups and recent play, I had some big-name players as bust alerts in Tom Brady , Marshawn Lynch , Larry Fitzgerald , Brandon Lloyd and Vernon Davis . Throw in the Bears DST, which was listed as a sit, and the results blew up in my face.

Now, as we always say with the bust alerts and explain in the description, these are not players to outright sit in the majority of leagues. But still, we suggested they would struggle when instead they were stars, and this happens from time to time when you stick your neck out there and take chances with stud players. Next time, as we have been most of this season, we will get more right than wrong.

On a positive note, we stood behind the struggling Chris Johnson as the Start of the Week and suggested Week 10 would be his best outing of the season. And it was with 23 Fantasy points at Carolina. We can't guarantee Johnson will continue to play at this level going forward, and he has a difficult matchup in Week 11 at Atlanta, but for one week he played like a Top 5 overall pick and the running back we remembered prior to this season.

Editor's note: The Fantasy points are based on a standard-scoring league with six points for all touchdowns.
