Pierre-Paul is undergoing surgery on his right hand Monday, the New York Daily News reports.

Pierre-Paul revealed that he would need at least two surgeries to repair his well-documented injured right hand following the regular season, so Monday's procedure appears to be his first operation of this offseason. In having surgery, Pierre-Paul's grip may improve enough so that he doesn't need to wear a club over his hand in future games. In any case, Pierre-Paul's situation will be interesting to monitor in the coming months, as he's a candidate to receive the Giants' franchise tag again, or become an unrestricted free agent.
