Jets' Ryan Fitzpatrick: Gets starting job back

Fitzpatrick will return to the Jets' starting quarterback position in the wake of Geno Smith's torn ACL suffered Sunday, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.

Fitzpatrick reclaims his starting gig less than a week after he was benched following New York's Week 6 loss in Arizona. Given that he started the Jets' first six contests, throwing for just five touchdowns and 11 interceptions in that span, fantasy owners should have a good idea of what to expect from Fitzpatrick. That being said, he responded by completing nine of 14 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown while not committing a turnover and leading the Jets to a victory after Smith exited Sunday. While he's seemingly been a model of inconsistency in 2016, Fitzpatrick's fantasy value now at least returns to reflect his starting status, even though better options likely exist.
