Colter was waived by the Rams on Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
The former college quarterback was converted to wide receiver during his most recent attempt to make an NFL team. He spent time on the Vikings' practice squad last season, but with limited roster spots available for the Rams this summer, Colter was released.
