Lengel signed a contract with the Patriots on Wednesday.
Lengel (6-7, 266) is a second-year player out of Eastern Kentucky who had spent the near of entirety of his NFL career, up until now, on the Bengals' practice squad. He's mainly a blocking specialist though, and prospectively carries little fantasy appeal as the No. 3 tight end behind Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett.
