Raiders' Lee Smith: Placed on IR

Smith was placed on the Reserve/Injured List, the team announced Wednesday.

Smith was placed on reserve while the team signed tight end Ryan O'Malley to the active roster. Smith was the team's best blocking tight end, so his absence is likely to affect the run game more than the passing game. Tight end Clive Walford will continue to see the majority of the team's reps at the position.
