Edwards (hip) was placed on the Raiders' injured reserve list Monday.
Edwards was also a candidate for the PUP list to begin the season, but Oakland brass must not be convinced his hip injury has progressed enough to consider a Week 7 return as realistic. Nonetheless, Edwards could still return at a later point in the campaign and can be tagged with a return designation after the first six weeks of the regular season.
