Mason is unlikely to participate in any OTA sessions, as he has been excused for "personal reasons" in dealing with the aftermath of numerous legal issues in the offseason, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.
Mason has a long way to go to get back on the field after being arrested for reckless driving, resisting arrest, and marijuana possession in March. He was already slipping down the depth chart and this absence may accelerate his descent, with the possibility of a league suspension also looming.
