Redskins' Jordan Reed: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Reed (shoulder) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.

In a post-practice media session, head coach Jay Gruden said Reed is "progressing slowly" through the Grade 3 AC joint separation in his left shoulder. Due to "a lot of pain," Reed didn't fit in much activity at all, implying that rehabilitation is dominating his schedule. Considering pain tolerance and range of motion have been cited as the determining factors for playing in a game, the tight end doesn't seem to be trending on the right path. If Reed is out or seemingly hindered Sunday in Arizona, Vernon Davis would elevate to the top TE consideration for Kirk Cousins.
