Head coach Jay Gruden told The Washington Times last week that the Redskins may have to make a decision soon whether or not to devote a spot on the active roster to Doctson (Achilles).

Doctson's first offseason as a professional was dominated by an Achilles injury, wiping out most of the offseason program, training camp, and preseason slate. He was able to muster some snaps in the first two games of the campaign but has since been shut down by the team. With four DNPs behind him and no end in sight, Gruden's comments carry weight and may result in Doctson's placement on injured reserve in the near future, especially if injuries elsewhere force a roster crunch.
