The Cowboys don't plan to pick up the option on defensive back Morris Claiborne's rookie contract, according to a report from the Dallas Morning News, citing a source.
Claiborne was the Cowboys' first-round pick in the 2012 draft. The team has until Sunday to decide whether to pick up the fifth-year option to keep Claiborne with the team through 2016.
The source said that Claiborne was "not a priority" for the team, as it prepares for the 2015 NFL Draft.
Claiborne will make $2.6 million this year, in the final season of his four-year rookie contract.
