Vaccaro made 104 tackles (71 solo) and three sacks in 16 games this season.

Although there were very few positives in the Saints' historically bad defensive campaign, Vaccaro's resurgence certain counts as one of them. Vaccaro battled a variety of injuries in 2014, but finally healthy, he was able to set career highs in both tackles and sacks in 2015. While failed to record an interception, Vaccaro excelled as a run stopper. A natural strong safety, Vaccaro played closer to the line of scrimmage this year, and he credited his improved play to defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, who took over for the deposed Rob Ryan midway through the season. With Allen calling the shots again in 2016, Vaccaro could once again be one of the better options at defensive back in IDP leagues.
