Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer completed 17 of 30 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns after replacing an ineffective Ryan Mallett in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

Hoyer's stats look pretty good, but they came against a conservative scheme from an Atlanta team sitting on a huge lead. Neither one of Houston's quarterbacks has gone out and seized the job, so it's hard to say who coach Bill O'Brien will tab as his starter for Thursday's Week 5 tilt against the Colts. Either way, it's probably best to avoid relying on a Texans quarterback if at all possible.
