Texans' Whitney Mercilus: Three sacks in playoff loss

Mercilus (back) recorded eight tackles (five solo) including three sacks in Saturday's playoff loss to the Chiefs.

Mercilus finished up the season in style with 6.5 sacks in Week 17 and the wild-card round of the playoffs. The Texans locked him up in the offseason leading up to 2015, and he was a big part of the defense that finished third in pass defense and fifth in sacks. Merciuls, Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt are the keys to Houston's pass defense.
