The Bears have signed veteran fullback Montell Owens to take the place of shelved LB D.J. Williams on the roster. Owens, a former Pro Bowl special teamer with Jacksonville, played in several games for Detroit early in the year.

Owens, who had been nursing a hamstring injury as of late, was on the sideline in street clothes in the second half. Riddick also re-aggravated the injury in the first half. He had one carry for two yards before leaving the game. The Lions will host the Bills in Week 5.
