A knee injury will keep running back Knowshon Moreno off the field throughout the 2015 season, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Moreno, who is an unsigned free agent, has been sidelined since Week 6 of last year. He played in only three games with the Dolphins after rushing for 1,038 yards for Denver the previous season. There has been speculation that Miami would sign him again, but his physical status could be holding them and other teams back.
Running back Knowshon Moreno was unable to provide much of anything for the Dolphins a year ago thanks to an ACL tear in Week 6. While the Dolphins haven't been expected to re-sign Moreno, it's not out of the question. According to the Miami Herald, general manager Dennis Hickey said the Dolphins are still open to the possibility of bringing Moreno back to the team. Moreno signed a one-year, $3 million deal in 2014. He's now an unrestricted free agent. Moreno hasn't been working out at the Dolphins' team facility though Hickey said the organization has been keeping tabs on his rehab and recovery. If Moreno is still available on the free-agent market in the early summer, it's possible the Dolphins to bring him in if they're unable to select a quality runner in the draft.
