Broncos wide receiver Jordan Norwood (knee) and Jamar Chaney (hamstring) were placed on the injured reserved list Monday, ESPN.com reports.
The Broncos released the following players on Sunday: Linebacker Jamar Chaney, running back Brennan Clay, wide receiver Greg Hardin, linebacker Jerrell Harris, offensive tackle Winston Justice, safety Charles Mitchell, defensive tackle Will Pericak, quarterback Bryn Renner, defensive end Chase Vaughn, running back Jerodis Williams and wide receiver Greg Wilson.
The Broncos have signed eight players to reserve-futures contracts. They are linebackers Jerrell Harris and Jamar Chaney, tackle Ramon Harewood, tight ends Jameson Konz and Cameron Morrah, running back Jerodis Williams and defensive backs Charles Mitchell and Jerome Murphy.
Updating a previous item, the Falcons signed former Bengals linebacker Thomas Howard and waived linebacker Jamar Chaney. Atlanta also added safety Sean Baker to the practice squad.
Running back Steven Jackson (hamstring) heads the Falcons' list of inactives for Week 4. Also sitting out are cornerback Asante Samuel (thigh), safety Kemal Ishmael, linebacker Jamar Chaney, guard Harland Gunn, offensive tackle Ryan Schraeder and defensive tackle Travian Robertson. Jackson got hurt in the Week 2 win over the Rams, and it's unclear when he'll return.
