Weems made $730,000 last season, when he had 10 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10.

Weems hauled in a 3-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan in the second quarter. It was his only catch of the afternoon. Weems has 10 catches for 102 yards and two scores this season. He'll look to end the regular season on a high note against Carolina.
The Falcons got a bunch of contributions in their 43-37 loss at Green Bay. Running back Jacquizz Rodgers ran three times for 20 yards and caught a 14-yard pass. Wideout Harry Douglas caught two of three targets for 11 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown. Rookie running back Devonta Freeman caught two passes for 10 yards, and receiver Eric Weems had a 5-yard touchdown reception. Fullback Patrick DiMarco had a 9-yard grab. They'll all play the Steelers in Week 15.
The Falcons backup pass catchers did little Week 13 against the Cardinals. Levine Toilolo managed to haul in four balls, gaining 15 yards. He was the target of a 1 yard score from Matt Ryan in the first quarter. Devin Hester had just one catch, gaining 10 yards. He also gained 4 yards on a rushing attempt. Eric Weems pulled in two balls, but gained just 9 yards. They'll look for more Week 14 against the Packers.
