The Chiefs have made several moves. They have released Adam Schiltz from the practice squad, placed wideout Armon Binns on the practice squad/injured list and signed long snapper Charlie Hughlett and wide receiver Corbin Louks to the practice squad.
The Chiefs signed wide receiver Armon Binns to their practice squad Monday, The Kansas City Star reports. Binns was waived by the Dolphins in the preseason. He has not caught a pass since the 2012 season.
The Dolphins waived receivers Armon Binns and Ryan Spadola, tight end Brett Brackett, cornerback Steven Clarke, defensive end Rakim Cox, defensive tackle Cory Grissom and center Tyler Larsen. Miami also put defensive tackle A.J. Francis, running back Mike Gillislee and tight end Arthur Lynch on injured reserve, ending their seasons.
With the No. 63 pick in the NFL Draft, the Dolphins selected receiver Jarvis Landry from LSU. Landry could compete to be the No. 3 receiver for the Dolphins this year behind Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. He could challenge Brandon Gibson, Rishard Matthews and Armon Binns for playing time right away. Landry had a big season in 2013 with 77 catches for 1,193 yards and 10 touchdowns. He isn't overly fast (he ran a 4.77 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine), but he does have good hands and is physical.
Dolphins receiver Armon Binns signed his exclusive rights tender for $495,000. He missed last season with a torn ACL.
