Lewis agreed to a deal with the Vikings on Wednesday, Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reports. The 2012 seventh-round selection out of Oklahoma spent his first four seasons with the Lions before his rookie deal expired this offseason. In Lewis, the Vikings will be bolstering their inside linebacker depth and adding a productive special teams player. From a fantasy aspect, however, Lewis' signing in Minnesota does not figure to have much of an impact in the IDP realm.
The Lions placed linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) on injured reserve Saturday. The team replaced Lewis on the active roster with tight end Jordan Thompson, who was signed from the practice squad.
Besides Calvin Johnson, the Lions may be without their top two pass-catching tight ends heading into Week 7 at home against the Saints. Joseph Fauria was unable to practice and was ruled out for Sunday. Eric Ebron, who was limited participant on Wednesday, was unable to return to the practice field Thursday and Friday. As a result, he was labeled doubtful for the game. Theo Riddick (hamstring) and Travis Lewis (quadriceps) missed practice the entire week. Riddick is doubtful, while Lewis was ruled out for Week 7. Johnson was not a participant in practice the entire week and could be sidelined until Week 10. He was officially questionable on the injury report. Reggie Bush (ankle), Jeremy Ross (ankle) and Ezekiel Ansah (toe) were all listed as probable for Sunday.
The Lions have made RB Reggie Bush, WR Calvin Johnson, TE Joseph Fauria, LB Travis Lewis, QB Kellen Moore, DE Larry Webster and OL Garrett Reynolds inactive Week 6 against the Vikings. Bush and Johnson headline the group. Both players are dealing with ankle injuries. Fauria and Lewis were ruled out prior to Sunday.
Tight end Joseph Fauria (ankle) and linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) are the lone Lions ruled out for their Sunday game against Minnesota. Neither has practiced this week. Listed as probable are running backs Theo Riddick (hamstring) and Joique Bell (concussion), safety Jerome Couplin (ribs) and cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle).
