The Saints have waived linebacker Cheta Ozougwu due to a failed physical, The Times-Picayune reports. Ozougwu spent two seasons with the Bears before joining the Saints before the 2014 season, but he was unable to carve out a role in New Orleans after getting injured in July and spending the season on the PUP list.
The Saints signed nose tackle Tyrone Ezell and linebacker Marcus Thompson and waived linebacker Cheta Ozougwu with a failed physical designation. Ezell has spent time with the Texans, and Thompson with the Dolphins.
The Saints will sign free agent outside linebacker/defensive end Cheta Ozougwu, reports ESPN. The Bears waived him last month.
